WWI US Aviator Archive of Lt. George Perry Sells Beyond Expectations

WWI US Aviator Archive of Lt. George Perry

The Military Archive of WWI Aviator Lt. George Perry, an Observer with the 11th Aero Squadron, will sell as lot 15070 of Centurion's February 2015 Militaria & Firearm Auction. Collector interest in militaria related to WWI has been strong in recent year, especially for named items of Aviators, which are considerably rare. The pre-sale estimate on the Lt. Perry WWI Aviator Archive is $2000 - 5000, although the lot has the potential to exceed expectations.

Post-Auction Update: Seeing strong competitive bidding, the Archive realized $7080.

A comprehensive WWI US Military Archive of 11th Aero Squadron Observer Lt. George Perry. The lot includes: 2 YMCA tunics with patches and bullion observer wings, aviator's flying coat, side cap, goggles, gloves, discharge, birth certificate, passport, leather flight cap, pages from journal, canvas tarp, aiguilette, 48 star US flag, photo of Perry in uniform, papers, veteran reunion wings, 11th Aero painted plane component, and 11th Aero Squadron unit history book.

This public auction is open to everyone. Those interested may register and participate by floor, live telephone, Internet or absentee bidding. Please visit the February 27th 2016 Auction page for Details and Registration information. Please contact the gallery if you have any questions related to the WWI US Archive of Lt. George Perry.
